Playing as the cybernetic god, Baldur, you are charged with defending against an onslaught of machines aimed towards wiping out mankind. The Norse Gods that exist in this game are actually cybernetically enhanced humans, who use cybernetic implants to become more like machines. Ironically, they're trying to stop machines who are harvesting human blood and limbs to become more human. The game is obviously inspired by Norse mythology, having members of the Aesir featured in the game. Some of the Aesir include: Thor, Odin, Loki, Mimir, Freyja, and Heimdall. Other then the vague plot they've given us, Silicon Knights has not given out much information due to the games epic story driven gameplay.

The Gameplay

You see lots of role playing elements in Too Human such as collecting items and gear hunting to further increase your character's ability. The game is essentially a true fusion of Action and RPG. You will be reminded of God of War, except with much more customization, skill tree accessibility, and in-depth character class selection. With that also comes an incredible number of variations between weapons and gear. Players are able to collect gear to increase their gameplay experience, whether solo or with a party.

Story

One of the many machine enemies you'll meet within the game.

The RPG elements in Too Human include a deep storyline, different classes, customizable weapons and armor, cybernetics, skill tree progression and item hunting. The game features 15 weapon classes, for example: two-handed swords, hammers, staves, polearms, dual wielding, and ranged weapons like pistols, rifles and lasers.

The action in the game was said to be very casual and fun, nothing that will get you angry enough to throw a fit. As a third person action/RPG game, there are elements from Devil May Cry and Diablo. Twitch styled action in the form of melee and ranged combat, though essentially it retains its deep RPG elements such as skill tree progression and dungeon crawling. Each class has its own skill trees that makes each class different from each other.

Classes

-Bioengineer:
The Bioengineer focuses on cybernetics and combat. The Bioengineer acts similarly to a medic, repairing damage sustained on the battlefield, while also providing health bonuses for himself and allies, allowing them to fight deep within enemy territory. The Bioengineer prefers to fight with dual sidearms.

-Commando:
The Commando fights using technological gadgetry and uncommon methods of warfare. The Commando focuses on long range combat using rifles and uses mines, countermeasures and demolitions when in close range. The Commando focuses on harrying tactics, though when forced into close range, he will bring out his hammer.

-Champion:
The Champion is Odin's representative on the battlefield dealing out divine retribution. The Champion is a warrior class focusing on caustic force field and anti-gravity based attacks who also increases the combat effectiveness of his allies. In melee combat, one-handed swords are the Champion's choice.

-Defender:
The Defender is the stereotypical tank. Blessed by Odin and protected by ancient runes, the Defender is the core of the Aesir's defensive strategies. Defenders wear heavy armor to absorb damage so that their allies can deal out Odin's retribution. Defenders wade out to battle armed with mighty staffs.

-Berserker:
The Berserker who is the master of close combat finds thrill in his own fury. The Berserker focuses on all-out offense, ignoring its own defensive needs. Berserkers fight with a twin-blade fighting style and are supported through the spirit of the bear. All Berserkers will willingly charge into battle for the glory of Odin.
