Microsoft Xbox 360: Movie Games : Why are they so bad?

Final Words
Every industry in the media has its cash cows.  There isn't one company that tries to use a form of entertainment to get its selling points across.  As consumers, we see it everyday, from Nelly selling sneakers to Master Chief selling Mountain Dew.  Tie-ins are the sure-fire way of generating buzz for a product in more than one niche audience.  It's just a fact of the society we live in.

Seeing some of these games originating from decently made films is distressing.  It's hard to express the feeling of realizing that time's just been wasted on a sub par product that's only been there the whole time to sell you something.  As gamers, we try to give it the benefit of the doubt, always looking for the new thrill to make us have a good time and when it comes to licensed games, whether it be comic book characters or movies, the companies either developing, publishing or pushing for these games to be made aren't in touch with what the audience really wants: a fun and faithful representation of the films and characters we like.
