THQ fires up the ignition as they prepare to release the 2007 installment of the Moto GP Series.
Developer:Climax Studios It’s that time of the year again; THQ prepares to release another installment of their award winning series on 2 wheels, that’s right I’m talking about Moto GP 2007 for the Xbox 360. This year isn’t much different then last but not to worry there are still some features to look forward too. If you’re a fan of the Moto GP Series you may be quite surprised with some of the new elements developers Climax Studios decided to incorporate in both single player and multi player game play. This installment will include a complete 2007 rider, team data as well as new 800cc Moto GP Bikes. If you’re a real Moto GP fan you would already know that Misano, Italy is set to host the San Marino Grand Prix as part of the Moto GP World Championship, You will find this same track in the game! Single player is pretty much the same from last year only you will now have Interactive Crowds rooting you on. Game modes aren’t much different either; you have Quick Race, Championship Mode, Racing Career, and Time trials. Quick Race is for the players on the go, pick up your controller, choose a bike, and fire it up on any of the 18 Real Life Moto GP tracks. Championship mode allows you to race as any of the 22 Moto GP Pros in this year’s game; including, of course, last year’s world champion Nicky Hayden. Racing career mode allows you to create your very own rider complete with all custom gear and compete in various world championships. Just like in most racing games at each event you have some choices, You can choose to get to know the track by running some practice laps, qualify for your spot in the race, or just hop right in and compete as is! Multiplayer is looking pretty promising this time around, some new features insure players won’t be disappointed. New this year is an online tournament mode, not much information has been released on this feature but we know for a fact it will be there in the final build of the game. If you practice real hard you may even be able to pick up some new custom bikes in the brand new Online Pink Slip racing. Of course if you don’t quite have a feel for the game yet, you may risk losing your precious ride. Extreme Mode Online Tournaments; this new feature is looking to make multiplayer even better. In these new tournaments that will be created by you, There are five different options: Open International, European Classic, All Nippon Series, Race Club, and Fight Club. The one you choose will decide the types of bikes you're able to use in the race. If you happen to choose Fight Club, only Street fighter bikes will be permitted into the tournament. While this feature looks awesome, there are some down falls. It seems as of now you can not choose the track line up, instead the tracks are chosen for you. Moto GP 2007 is so far looking like a great game, whether it sells or not all depends on Climax Studios. These new features are sure to draw in a crowd as long as previous glitches are fixed. Make sure you keep reading DPAD for more updates on Moto GP 2007 as it prepares to hit stores in August. |
