With the first season of Gears of War 4v4 coming to an end and the future of Gears of War riding on the next couple of months, we sit down and take a look at tomorrow night's Championship Series featuring LGD Black and No Name Noobs.
"After an exciting season and playoff tournament, we are now down to two final teams. #1 seed LGD Black comes in to the championship match undefeated throughout regular season and playoffs to face off against #8 seed N3 No Name Noobs who have climbed their way through the lower bracket to get here. The format for the championship match is best of 7. If LGD Black wins the first best of 7 series to take place Tuesday, June 26; they will be the Season 1 champs. However, if N3 No Name Noobs wins the series on Tuesday; a second series will be played Thursday, June 28 to decide the champions of Season 1. Maps will be played/hosted in the following order: 1-2.) LGD Black hosts Mansion and Fuel Depot. Posted by Bob Ceres of CAL-GOW After a long and grueling season in CAL, the first Gears of War season is nearing and end with two teams on top. Coming in through the winner's bracket we have LGD Black, a highly skilled team that has placed Third at the recent MLG Meadowlands stop. Facing them will be another great team with members from across the United States. No Name Noobs (N3) had placed Sixth at MLG Meadowlands after facing some of the intense competition that was vVv Vision, vBi, and LGD Red. No Name Noobs The interesting thing about this series will be the fact that N3 had defeated vVv Vision in the low bracket of the CAL Playoffs in order to make it to the championship. With a grueling best of seven series, N3 came on top with stellar gameplay by Sloth and Sarillo cementing the win. The amount of quality teams that N3 had to go through is astonishing, and with the skill that this team has there can be a different team on the winning stage at this July's WSVG Dallas as well as MLG Dallas stops.
