Microsoft Xbox 360: CGS Rundown: PGR3 New York Track Breakdown

Michael "Optimus" Perry drives through some amazing PGR3 racing through NY!

Right Path: If you choose to go with the right path the player is presented with a set of 3 fairly easy turns. Left then right followed by another left. Worthy of mention is the fact that this isn't the section where you should be going too fast or being too hard on the gas. You'll want to take it easy and feather the gas on these turns because if you get too overzealous and go too fast you will make errors. The right path is also a pretty confined space so it would be counter-productive to be in so much of a rush that the advantage you end up getting on other racers due to your speed is lost a mere second or two later putting yourself in a rather unenviable position that could've been avoided.

Left Path: Left, Right, Left just like the Right Path. The first left is fairly easy as long as you're not going too fast again on this path just like the right you'll want to take it easy on the gas feathering as opposed to holding it down. Next turn is again not too hard if you're being wary of your speed, but on this specific turn there is enough room to make what could be a very crucial pass. The final turn on this section (a left) if you're firmly in control coming out of this turn it could be yet another crucial point at which to make a pass and ultimately beat your opponent to the next turn. This is the path I prefer as it isn't as cramped as the other one and the exit point puts you right where you need to be leading to the next turn.

Also worth pointing out is that the section of road which brings us to this intersection can be very misleading and by misleading I mean it can very easily fool the best of us into thinking we have plenty of time to spot the intersection and slow down accordingly to make your way through either path without much of a hiccup, but things can get pretty bumpy leading to the intersection and by the time you realize you're going too fast you could already well be on your way to slamming head on into a wall. A nice way of summarizing the path leading to this intersection is that it looks fairly trivial to maneuver through UNTIL you get there and find out the momentum of your vehicle is going to be your undoing and there is nothing you can do to prevent a mistake.

This may also be where the vehicles chosen by the CGS might come off looking a bit brilliant depending on how you choose to look at it....
