The biggest game to hit the Xbox since Halo, Gears of War has been gobbled up by anyone with a 360. For those who haven't bit the bullet or are having trouble, take a peek on everything you need to know about GoW.

The 360's Gears of War is indeed a wonderful game; however, without the proper knowledge you can find yourself on the losing end very quickly. Except, the slide glitch is easier if you do it this way:
As you approach the weapon and you see the "X" to pick it up, push A then right after push X in a VERY quick motion and in the direction you want to go. Took me a day or two to fully master the technique, but once you get it down, it's a very, very good tool to keep you alive.
Hopefully Gears gets the necessary patches to make it a viable online game.
