im pretty sure i read somewhere, possibly game informer, some racing game (Need for speed underground i believe) was playable on pc with people on the ps2 online i could be mistaken though.
I remember my friend talking about how he used to play Q3 against Dreamcast players online with his comp. Dreamcast users would complain because everyone on the comp's had way better aim then the Dreamcast users.
For FPS nothing beats the Keyboard/mouse combo. Every time I try to play a FPS on console I pray for a keyboard/mouse so I could actually do what I want to instead of getting nerfed by the limitations of the controller.
yeah, im not sure how well that infrared thing will last online, i mean. Everyone thinks EVERYONE cheats. <sarcasm>So unless they got a anti-cheat like VAC2!</sarcasm> gl in league play
Wish they had this for EA sports games. I.E. FIFA, NCAA football and the like. One day maybe. It wouldn't really matter which one you had PC or console, basically same controllers. Just would like to play friends that don't have the PC game, or vice versa. (Can't afford an XBOX just to play friends online)

#9 Apparantly it feels more natural and is roughly as accurate as your average mouse, but it's still significantly slower to aim with. If somone makes a pc version I will try it out for laughs.
FFXI was originally a ps2 game, later ported to pc. also.. mmorpgs are a bit different also, while it was originally designed for ps2, pc users have a big advantage in the game with hotkey macros, scripts, etc
Sega Dreamcast much? I played 4x4 evolution racing against PC players all the time, it even indicated in the games which users were PC and those that were DC... Other DC games could do this too, even the DC version of q3!
I'm going to favor the console gamers. So many people talk about how they were dominant in Goldeneye and there are a ton of great Halo Xbox players out there. I think I could do a lot of damage with a controller in my hand. Maybe I say that because my aim is so horrible in counter-strike...but I feel like there is little advantage to having a mouse and keyboard.

i could be mistaken though.
However, most consoles now offer the same possibility (mouse and keyboard can be purchased anywhere...)

Maybe the Wii's 'remote control' can change that.
