I watched my friend play it for about an hour the other day and it was painful, very dumbed down and clumsy. Had it been made for PC it coulda been decent but as is it's pretty bad.
And #6 they are making another FPS, HaloWars is not bungie's work
It was lackluster. It already takes an amazing rts to get me interested in the game, but now it's an average rts on a console? Not appealing in the least bit to me.
Herd it's like RTS for dummies basically. Can't really blame them though they had to make it work for console somehow. They should of just made another PC RTS. BRING US MORE AOE.
I don't think its that bad to be honest. as someone who plays RTS games on pc, of course I can't say its as good or as fluid as starcraft or warcraft 3, but you'd be ignorant to say its a total failure of a game. I mean, look at where RTS on console has come from. halo wars is a country mile better than starcraft 64 and any other console bound RTS.
controls are pretty fluid, the game seems pretty balanced so far, the graphics are sweet and its the halo universe - those are enough for me to purchase it. and I'm enjoying it a lot right now actually.

Halo Wars
they could just make another fps and get paid, but instead they do this
And #6 they are making another FPS, HaloWars is not bungie's work
Halo Wars - 82%
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - 77%
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - 82%
That being said, I'd never play an RTS on console. If it came to PC I'd be interested in buying it.
