I just got an xbox 360 and plan on setting up an xbox live account. My question is this, can I purchase two xbox live cards and have two xbox live accounts logged in at the same time playing split screen online?

Do all games allow this feature or are there only certain games that will allow me to play split screen with two accounts?

Can there be two headsets hooked up to one console?

Thanks for answering all of my stupid questions.I just want to make sure about the accounts/headsets before I go out and purchase everything just to found out it's not possible.

:)

No you can't log into split screen on xbox live. 1 account per box on live @ a time.

I haven't touched my 360 in a long time.. probably 2 months. But I will try answer my best for you.

1. I think so but I know you definitely can bring a "guest" every time you play online together ON lan aka split screen

2.Yes, but not to a console, but a controller. If you have two seperate controllers, you can plug it in between the circle sticks(dont remember the name for it.. toggles?)

in a game such as halo 3 you can do split screen with 2 seperate live accounts.

if your playing on seperate accounts in halo 3 you can use 2 mics 1 for each account.

#2 is terrible. gtfo bad.

In a game such as Halo 3, if you have 2 separate accounts, you log the 1 in, then log in the other but 'migrating' the 2nd account info in for the other user. It's the same if Billy came to your house and migrated his acct to your box and you both played on the same tube.

CoD4, does not allow this as they don't allow split-screen MP anyway. Gears of War allows this, as split screen MP is possible, along with a log-in feature for the guest player. Basically, if you're allowed to sign-in as the second player in MP, you're allowed to make it happen with 2 accounts.

One headset per active controller.

All you other tools, gtfo my DPAD.
