Okay, i dont own the game myself, but today i was playing all day
My friend brought it over, he had the les paul guitar which is such a nice look, its honestly better then a les paul it self (well almost lol) The feature of the handle disconnecting is useless, but in the way to freak out your friends and say "Omg dude i broke it" is cool the guitar keys are alot better, they come back to your finger very very fast which is amazing thats what i hated with the original guitars
Over all the guitar is a 10/10
Now to the game i first started off with expert, liked it kinda, i played the song F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. by The Fall Of Troy and it was challenging but not at first, one thing i hated right away was the amount of doubles and triples. I knew right away "Yep this is an activision change" played the song got an 83% I was like "alright its alright lets keep playing"
Played alot of the newer kind of songs like dragon force, and that song was kinda hard but i like it because its very fast and you have to use the strum bar alot, but 1 thing they gotta realize these notes on Through The Fire And Flames, is impossible, when it gets to the part before, during, and after the solo is impossible, it was faster then any guitar hero 2 song, no one is going to do it, guitar hero 2 alone had the hardest and fastest notes ever. Double and triple notes was another thing i hated it was confusing, triple notes were rarely seen in GH2 why put so many in now when GH2 was so big, yet again i knew "Activision decision"
Another con to this game, THE ANIMATION!!!! Wow is all i can say to this, the characters look to animated, they took it too far with graphics, to much coloring and it made it look unrealistic. Now the guitars look excellent its the character models, the one singer looks like an ape lol
Over all the game alone i give it a 6/10 its a fun game co-op or playing with a friend
alone it is just boring cause some of these songs just have parts where you just give up then get back about 10 seconds later when you realize "NO MORE TRIPLES OR DOUBLES YAY!!!"
you can tell the game was ruined, redoctane should've done it alone again then it would be a big success
Honesly ive got to say it does not feel like guitar hero
I'm leaning more towards Rock Band now (I really want to be able to play The Hand that Feeds and Go With the Flow), but I'm worried, for the times I want to play by myself, Rock Band seems pretty dull. Like the note charts in Rock Band, in the few videos I saw, looked wayyyyyyyy too easy and simple.
ville you dont know me how can you say that they're faster, go look at "the light that blinds" "laid to rest" "six" and "freebird" under the expert section for leaderboards and you'll see a name come up in the top 10 for all those songs then tell me who's faster?
im not saying im faster then them, but dont tell me they are when you dont know me
and it is physically impossible to do 54 notes in "Through The Fire And Flames"

i just beat TDWDTG but i dont have internet in my dorm yet so no online for me. on another note, this game is MUCH harder than previous GH games. definitely aimed at the competitive GH community over the casual. i love this game though, definitely a top 5 game imo.
65% on TTFAF and counting :[
oh yea ville, knights of cydonia, FCPREMIX, my curse, my name is jonas and cliffs of dover are the best songs in the game.
WSVG doesn't determine the best player it determines the best "performer". they have to move around and "rock out" to get points for style which is stupid imo. wuLFe, priestMLH and HellAshes are by far the best 3 players right now.
idk i put it in HD, and idk it looks a lil better but it could be better, but idk played a lil more for some reason im doing alot better im thinking before that my lag was at like 100 or something cause now i just did 97% on THFAF expert and before i was only doing 85
I didn't get a chance to play the entire Expert tour, but the game is already balls.
Online play, I could live off of it. Beating somebody else without having somebody at your house is so fun. The tour was good so far and I only got to Tier 2 before I stopped. I 5-starred all of them, but it still is very enjoyable.
The guitar is flawless, easier to hit HOPO's and the buttons are more reactive and bounce back up to your fingers quicker.
I'm starting to think maybe I can't beat some of the end tiered songs with my GH2 controller (I rented GH3 so I'm just using my old controller). It's very possible I'm just plain bad, since I've never been too crazy about the series...but I mean, I SHOULD be able to beat Hard without practicing a thousand times...
I'm basically just stuck on the beginning part of Raining Blood where there's a sh*tload of pull offs, and I'm wondering if it's because I'm using the GH2 guitar...

GH3 sucks, and not just because of the difficulty.
1. Random strums in the middle of hammer ons/pull offs? Doesn't make any sense to do that. 2. Overuse of 3 bar chords just to make songs harder. 3. Note Charts don't make sense to me, if you have played GH1/GH2/GH80's you know what I'm talking about. 4. Way to easy to do hammer ons/pull offs, still don't know if this is cool or a bad thing, but its awesome on My Name is Jonas, I swear its the equivalent of button mashing 5. Half the songs are retarded, only a handful are fun to play and some songs are easier on the upper tier than lower tier. Seriously I thought this game was Guitar Hero, not Guitar Boring Rhythm Guitar Songs That Are Repetitive As Hell. 6. Boss Battle Modes and Battle Mode in general is just gimmicky crap, who wants to play 30 seconds of a song? The whole dueling guitar thing is fun, but you should finish it to the end and see who has the best accuracy.

If you're good, you concentrate on the chart, not the stupid animations jumping around in the background.
and he got like 620k on freebird (expert)

On Hard. I know I'm bad, but man...I could do most songs on Expert on GH2...they definitely made things more difficult on this one :-\

GH3 is definitely a top 10 game imo but you can go play mediocre note charts on RB with lines for notes.
Ill take mediocre charts made by actual musicians than random developers, thanks guy.
