Nintendo Wii: Smash Bros. Brawl finds success on GameBattles

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is quickly growing in the competitive arena

GameBattles.com, the largest online league, is having a lot of success with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Brawl released a few short weeks ago and has received solid reviews from around the gaming community.

Already registered are nearly 4,000 singles players and over 2,000 doubles teams. Leading the doubles ladder is Sick and Nasty with a 41-2 record and leading the singles ladder is BardulL with a record of 155-10 on a 29 match winning streak. KillerFleet is in third place with a 87-1 record followed by Green Apples at 76-0.

With the highest console sales of the generation, Wii owners have responded well to the first game with a large online following in relation to competitive play.

i think there needs to be a match making update that will place you with people of the same skill level. i'm alittle tired of playing random 10 yr olds who use ike and spam smash attacks.

btw, if you play ssbb and play with anyone, for god's sake turn off items, they take no skill. that is all.

155-10... thats insane, how many games per night does that dude play lol. If I had a Wii, I would probably be like 40-49, I suck at this point in time with Ike 'cause I don't play all the time.

In all honesty there are a lot of underground smash players out there and 4,000 1v1 registrants do not even compare to the 200-300k on smashboards.. not to mention the fact that most of the people at the top are people who have been playing since Smash 64

#5 Brawl is a completely different game from the original.

yup cause if it was the orginal i would be the best player with pikachu

... wait, #5? did people not play the original? it's better than both of the new games combine. I baught a Wii for brawl, I absolutely love the game, but the original is easily one of the top 3 best games I've ever played.
