Nintendo Wii: Activision to Replace GHIII Wii Discs

No Dolby 5.1? Blasphemy!
I bet Activision had some Xbox Live or PSN right now so they could release a patch to fix the Wii's audio woes, but they don't, resulting in them having to replace every single disc sold starting early 2008. According to Activision spokeswoman Rhy-Ming Poon, they will be replacing all current Wii discs with "re-mastered discs" which will be available by early 2008, for free.

“We recently became aware that some consumers have not been able to enjoy the full audio output in the Nintendo Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. We are currently working with Nintendo and are planning to issue an improved audio experience in future versions of the game. We expect to have re-mastered discs available by early 2008 and we will be offering consumers replacement discs at no cost once they become available. We thank all of our customers for their support and patience.” - Activision spokeswoman Rhy-Ming Poon
