After receiving the unpopular AO (Adults Only) rating, Rockstar has toned the game down a bit and after an appeal, got the M-rating.
Manhunt 2 is one of the most controversial games to date, being banned in all of the U.K., Ireland and was one of the first games to get the AO rating from the ESRB, before its release the game was a flop due to the fact it couldn't get released. Since then, Rockstar Games has appealed the ratings and ban's and they seem to have won.
The game went from AO to M and is now dated for the Wii, PS2 and PSP -- October 31. "Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we're glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience," Rockstar founder and president Sam Houser. "Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. We think horror fans will love it."
You can expect this game to top off the software charts for a month or two with this bad press. People are going to be eager to see what this game is all about.
