Nintendo Wii: Nintendo delays production increase

Nintendo has had to delay the Wii's production increase due to a shortage of components, Tech.co.uk reports.
Originally set for June, the production increase of Nintendo's Wii console has yet to begin due to component shortages. What this means for us consumers is that the Wii will still be hard to find for the remainder of this year, especially going into the holiday season, so be ready to camp out at your favorite retailer if you want to grab the popular console.

What does this mean for Nintendo? Well, the Wii's sales have been on a slight decline over the months, but with titles such as Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl being released before years end, it's a sure shot that they will soar, again. Nintendo will still make money, but not as much as it could if they had more units available. As of now, the Wii is a few thousand sales behind the Xbox 360 in total console sales and within the next few months is bound to take the throne.
