In what may be the biggest release yet on the Virtual Console, Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be released today for Wii owners to download!
Title: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Original Console: Nintendo 64 Cost: 1,000 Wii Points Number of Players: 1 Original Release: November 23, 1998 Description: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a popular 3D third-person adventure game that follows Link on his adventures through Hyrule. In Ocarina of Time, Link again has to conquer multiple dungeons and defeat bosses in his quest. Upon its original release on the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time was widely popular and sold out at almost all retail locations. Pre-ordered copies of the game had the traditional gold cartridge that made the NES releases distinguishable. Despite being released at the end of November, Ocarina of Time was the best selling game in 1998 with over 2.5 million copies sold. The game was also met with a great reception among gaming media, receiving perfect scores from IGN, GameSpot, Famitsu (Japan), EGM and Nintendo Power. Title: Chew Man Fu Original Console: Turbo Grafx-16 Cost: 600 Wii Points Number of Players: 1 Original Release: 1990 Description: Possibly one of the oddest storylines ever in a video game, Chew Man Fu set a curse on the world that took away the world's supply of delcious foods like fried rice and egg rolls and through 550 levels gamers have to complete challenges to get the food back. Title: Bio Hazard Battle Original Console: Sega Genesis Cost: 800 Wii Points Number of Players: 1-2 Original Release: 1992 Description: A scrolling shooter that flooded the Genesis in that time, Bio Hazard Battle puts gamers through eight levels at different difficulty settings to conquer the game.
