Dig your childhood capes and masks and let Nintendo provide the sword, The Destiny of Zorro is coming to the Nintendo Wii!
Publisher 505 Games announced it will partner with Developer Pronto Games to release The Destiny of Zorro late in 2007. The Destiny of Zorro will be a Nintendo Wii exclusive and will utilize the Wii remote to the level Wii fans have come to expect. The Wii remote will be utilized for Zorro's whip, sword and his well-known Z.

The use of the Wii remote is what makes this game so appealing to developer Pronto Games. “Swashbuckling Zorro is the perfect character for the Nintendo Wii,” commented Randy Angle, President and Creative Director Pronto Games. “We had a very short list of characters when we first considered making an action game for the Nintendo Wii… Zorro is a natural… using the Wii remote and the nunchuk controller players are in for a real treat as they slash and swing their way through Zorro’s story.”

Set in the early 1800's in the desert towns of California and will track Zorro through his latest adventure. According to the press release, Zorro will be fighting Calavera and his troops, defeating a plot to steal a great treasure, thwarting a power-hungry mob boss, and facing off against a rebel army. And in typical Zorro fashion, we can expect a little romance on the side as well. No comment as of yet if the Wii remote will come in handy in that regard.

Look for The Destiny of Zorro late in 2007.
