Nintendo has once again released a batch of fun titles for Nintendo Wii for gamers to download. This week, the titles include Mario Kart 64, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Bonanza Bros. and Comix Zone.

The most noteable of the group is certainly Mario Kart 64. Mario Kart 64 was one of the premier titles on the Nintendo 64 and joins Super Mario 64 as the only Nintendo 64 releases to date for the Virtua Console. Mario Kart DS continues the success of the series by selling 1,729,000 titles to date, including nearly 300,000 in December (Source).

Mario Kart 64 was based on the very popular Mario Kart for Super Nintendo and incorporated some updated versions of previous races, such as Rainbow Road. Gamers can select from Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario and Peach and play through different cups for tropheys or head to head with friends in battle arenas. Mario Kart 64 is the 8th best selling video game in history, with a total of 5,502,500 copies sold in North America alone (Source).
