Recent news has come about the ability to backup Wii games. We are sure there will be a big outcry about the availability of a mod chip which would be used for piracy. However the desire to backup a copy of a game people have paid for is also a nice option to have.

It will be interesting to see how Nintendo responds to this possibly with a firmware update. The creators say it interacts with the optical drive; this could possibly preventing a quick solution on Nintendo's part.
