Much in the same style of the Wii Weather Channel and Internet Channel, the News Channel will allow Wii owners to navigate around the globe and read different articles pertaining to specific cities or areas.

The News Channel allows for the assortment of news based on geographic location or news type. Options include regional, national and international as well as Arts/Entertainment, Business, Science/Health, Sports, and Technology.

The Wii Remote is utilized the navigate through the option and the spinning globe is available for quick navigation, much like the Weather Channel. Nintendo has also incorporated the use of the + and - buttons for easily resizing the text in the article for those who don't see as well as they used to.
