If you've been waiting to get your Wii involved in some serious billiards action, you may have to wait a bit longer. Wii Play - Nintendo's continuation of its "first contact" series of games (think Wii Sports) - wont be seeing shelves January 15th as initially expected. Instead, the game is now listed for a February 12, 2007 release. Reasons behind the delay were not revealed, but as GameSpot reports, it may be because WarioWare: Smooth Moves, another party type game, was to be released on the same day. Another theory is that hardware shortages - the Wii remote specifically - are more of an issue than we thought. Being that Wii Play comes with a free Wii remote, Nintendo either A) Does not yet have the amount of remotes needed to ship the game, or B) May need the remotes reserved for the game to distribute individually. --- Related: Wii For $200?
