Nintendo has
announced that the downloadable Wii internet browser, Opera, will be available this Friday (December 22nd) worldwide. Nintendo made the announcement on their website, along side a nice
little webcomic illustrating that this version of Opera is only a trial.
According to the Nintendo press release, the full version of Opera can be expected March 2007. The web-browser will be available to download for free until June 2007. After that, the browser will cost 500 Wii Points ($5).
Also released today, the Wii Weather channel, known as The Forecast Channel was also made available. Users will be able to check the weather anywhere, via their Wii.
