BBC NEWS reports that all units non pre-ordered are still expected to sell out the first day with eager fans standing in queue (that's what we would call a "line" in North America) since Tuesday. Additionally, UK media coverage of the Wii's release has been positive adding to the already heightened anticipation among consumers. The Wii is priced at £179 GBP or approximately $351.35 USD at the current exchange rate. The Wii will also become available midnight December 7th to our mates down under in Australia for $399 AU or approximately $315.40 USD. These conversions ought to make US gamers appreciate the $249.00 price tag on the units available to them even more!

Admist the mounting excitement as the countdown to launch narrows on the two continents, Nintendo reportedly has been sending e-mails to customers containing warnings and recommendations for how to properly use the Wiimote.
