Nintendo Wii: Wiimote on Half-Life 2

It may not be pretty, but some dedicated fans have managed to get the Wii remote up and running for Half-Life 2.
It was only days ago that we brought word of the Wii remote on PC, and today it appears the project has taken another step forward. When we first saw the Wii remote on the PC, it was simply a desktop screen with a moving cursor. Now, the same method that allowed the Wii remote to be used without hardware modification has allowed players to load up Valve's Half-Life 2, complete with weapon switching, jumping, shooting and ducking.

As seen in the video uploaded on YouTube, the infrared pointer does not work, but the technology behind basic movement, however, does (with a little bit of elbow grease). Players can tilt the remote sideways to have it respond accordingly, or even flick it up to have Gordon Freeman jump.

For more information on this, and other projects check out the WiiLi project.
