Despite continued shipments by Nintendo, getting a hold of a
Wii is still an ear-to-the-ground type of job for many Holiday shoppers. If you are a savvy consumer, you may have learned recently that many Wal-Mart stores would be receiving new Wii shipments yesterday, Wednesday the 6th. Today, after talking to some employees at a local Jacksonville, Florida Wal-Mart, we learned that over 150 consumers camped outside the store for what would be 20 Wiis coming in on the midnight shipment. Three minutes after the trucks had unloaded, the store had no more consoles available. Another store in the area only received 15 systems.
Jacksonville, Florida, host to the 2005 NFL Super Bowl is the largest square land mass city in the United States and has a population of a little under a million residents.
