Nintendo + Japan = Should have pre-ordered this time last year.
Considering the latest buzz, it's no surprise today to learn from reports that all 400,00 Wii console units shipped in Japan on December 2nd sold out within minutes. The Japan based company, Nintendo Co., has been a long-time fixture in the community, especially as of late with the continued popularity of the
Nintendo DS. With this announcement also comes the revelation that Nintendo has now sold over 1 million Wii units in only two weeks between America and Japan alone. As you may recall, Nintendo
sold over 600,000 units in America in its first week, after shipping 400,000 at launch.
The next stop for Nintendo is Australia and Europe, which still looks to see the Wii for the first time on Dec.7th and 8th respectively.
