The Wii and its games are fantastic for a certain demographic. Of all the consoles this generation, it's easily the best suited for families with social atmospheres.
And it just so happens that this type of consumer interest is much more abundant than nerdy, less social-oriented gamers that prefer more intimate and intense gaming experiences (i.e. such as that predominantly offered by the 360 and PS3). And that really shouldn't surprise anyone.
Don't be so inwardly focused on your own personal world-view in life that you can't even perceive the blinders you wear.
And btw, when did Robertj15 became so blatantly overt in his 360 bias?
And who even cares anymore about console comparisons, regardless?
Everyone with any sense already realized months and months ago that the 360 beat the PS3 this generation. Software sales (which, btw, are much more important that hardware sales at this point in the generation) have proven that every month since the PS3 was released, pretty much without exception. Even in Europe where the PS3 sells better hardware-wise, the 360 still dominates software sales. So there's nothing new here being shown with this data. Just the same old same old.
Thus, this thread seems a lot like beating a dead horse.

You shouldn't have been. I've been expecting this ever since I first learned about the game's concept. It should be self-evident that LittleBigPlanet is far too cerebral to appeal to the mainstream masses.
Anyone who labelled it as a "killer app" was either just thoughtlessly repeating what other people said, or was a stubborn PS3 fanboy desperately hyping any high-profile exclusive they could.
But it's scope of appeal is still narrow, regardless.
On one hand, I admire Sony for supporting such a unique video-game, but on the otherhand, I blame them and the game's developer for making the game an exclusive. Making a game that already has limited fundamental mainstream appeal constricted to only one console -- and that console being the console with the least market-share in the industry -- is just setting yourself up for failure.
There was supposed to be a LPB sequel planned. But due to the dismal final tally of sales the game is likely to garner, you have to wonder now whether or not a sequel will still be developed. And if not, that'll be a shame.
Sony needs a damn price drop, and it's a damn shame Little Big Planet isn't on that top 10.
It's how you can tell a lot of people were talking about how great the game looked, but never intended to get it in the first place. Something I always feared. It's a killer app, no doubt about that. I haven't gotten around to Gears 2 yet -- much more willpower to resist getting it as early as I did the first game.
The Wii just.. it just isn't normal. People are eating the thing up like it's crucial to their survival. When you look at how insane the Wii is doing, it just totally undermines the impressive 360 number, but I'm sure Microsoft is happy having sold more than they did last November, but Sony actually sold less and that shouldn't be the case. This is proving to me that it's always been about the strong third party exclusive strategy for Sony and the image as the home for the best japanese content. If it isn't a GTA exclusive, it's an awesome release of a Metal Gear or a Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil. The most solid of saving graces for the Sony First Party has been the God of War franchise and I worry that they are too badly toying around with Gran Turismo. I expect God of War 3 to really kick the ps3 into overdrive. There is Uncharted 2 (Sounds like it'll be the game the first should've been!)and Killzone coming out, and while I expect great sales for those games, I'm not expecting it to cause the kind of boost to the ps3 that many expect them to. I was thinking LBP would be a serious shot in the arm -- the kind of thing that could appeal to the hardcore bunch while at the same time attracting the kind of people that are drawn to the Wii. Sony hasn't marketed it well enough is my take, but fortunately they won't have to worry about such a thing with God of War 3 and FF Versus XIII, and to top it off the PS3 should be cheaper by then. If Sony is smart, they'll take off a couple extra dollars in addition to whatever price drop they make because Microsoft will then be in a position to lop off another $50-$80 off the 360 with the smaller GPU, and if Nintendo drops their prices, may the lord have mercy on both Microsoft and Sony's souls :P
Just look at that joke World at War piggyback off all COD4's awesome :/ I find that I always underestimate the Wii even when I think I'm overestimating it's sales potential. So, I'm calling 4.9 million Wii's sold in the month of December. Better yet 5.2 million. That's a safe prediction.

I'm like the only player in cs history to ever ace my own team (yes, even myself) as well as the other team while winning on a save round.
I started off the round by getting 2 deag headshots on the other team, then dcho flashed himself, as well as the rest of the team, which caused us all to get spammed to hell and naded once. Combined with the nade my team already got, plus the spamming we were taking, I was shooting blind to hit back at the cts that were spamming us. In the process of doing so, I get no cts, but 3 of my teammates (all hs, skills). I pushed up cat, picked up a colt (only had 15 bullets) and managed to headshot the ct watching catwalk. I backed off and went with my last remaining teammate to mid, but there was a ct who started shooting at us from ct spawn and I had to shoot through my teammate or else we would've gotten doubled. I didn't manage to kill the ct, but I killed my teammate. I'm now left in a 2v1. I sneak off to b and plant the bomb. The cts are approaching (one from ct spawn another from b tunnel) I manage to kill one coming to double door, but I keep missing the last dude and he manages to get too close for comfort and I'm out of bullets so I drop a grenade and the nade kills us both. We of course win because there is nobody left to defuse the bomb. Double team ace, crowd goes wild.
Wii is a good console, scoobs. I have one and I enjoy it; it's a different way of gaming. Plus next year looks like a great year for the Wii with MadWorld and The Conduit coming out. Guess you just have to have an appreciation for it. But I will say it's flooded with shovelware bullshit games like the ones UbiSoft releases (which is why I have my own little person boycott on the dev :P).

Single player sucked. Multiplayer sucks.
PS3 doesn't sell anything again... Wii is ridiculous and i firmly believe anyone that buys one is a complete moron... 360 is doing great. News at 11.
In other news i got the dark knight on bluray and it sees more playing time than any game I have.
God of war 3 looks like pure sex.
