Last March, there were rumors flying everywhere about the new patent redesign for the PlayStation Portable. It was reported that Sony’s UK managing director was offering information about its features. He stated that besides it being smaller and easy to carry, one of the PSP most attractive elements, its LCD screen, would evolve from the slimming undamaged. The United States Patent and Trademark office has filed this info on how Sony might be able to make this work. It’s also reported that the new PSP redesign is not concrete proof, since many other designs were registered but never been produced.

There have been many questions around the net wondering if Sony could pull this off. There have also been doubts and criticisms going around bashing the whole new PSP redesign idea. Some have said that Sony needs to worry about making better games for the original PSP and to worry about the Redesign later. In a sense, I agree with this statement seeing as though the PSP’s popularity is getting shorter by the day and Sony is also losing a lot of fanboys. Sony, you have a lot of work ahead of you. Hurry up and bring out those good PSP games we’ve all been hearing so much about!
