While Final Fantasy fanboys shouldn't get their hopes up just yet, things are only going to look up in the upcoming months. Although a release date has yet to be confirmed, Tetsuya Nomura (video game director for Square Enix) did announce that a demo showcasing the new battle system will be released eventually. Nomura also said, "2008 will be the year. There will be tons of news bits, info on characters and summons, and an unexpected connection between the keywords Cocoon and Farushi" so needless to say, we should be hearing a lot more on this game in the near future.
