Game peripheral maker Splitfish has announced it will bring a group of five experienced gamers together to compete in leagues under their name.
SplitFish is best known for its original hardware designs and accessories for the many consoles. Their lower-cost controllers and interesting addons make them an intriguing company for console gamers to look at. However, SplitFish is now getting into the world of competitive gaming.

While SplitFish has always aided gamers by providing hardware for competitive gamers, they have never entered into such sponsorships like this before. Splitfish will be sponsoring a team of 5 Playstation 3 gamers with free PS3 consoles and will utilize the FragFX competition controller offered by Splitfish that is currently in the final beta testing. Splitfish is confident its new gaming device will provide for the ultimate shooter-experience and advantage on the Playstation 3. We can expect to see the participants competing in leagues such as the Global Gaming League (GGL) to showcase their skills in Resistance: Fall of Man.

Participants were chosen from a large pool based on their prior gaming experience.

The participants include:

Dennis – Pennsylvania Favorite Game: Socom
Mark – California Favorite Game: GTA Series
Tyler – Tennessee Favorite Game: Socom
Colleen – Ontario Favorite Game: Resident Evil 4
Steve – Indiana Favorite Game: Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

Said Ken Tetterington, SplitFish President. "This is the first official SplitFish Gaming Team and we're looking forward to having a lot of fun with them."
