THQ has announced that Saints Row will be making its way to the Playstation 3 this spring. Saints Row features open world environments and allows gamers the freedom to explore environments and put their creativity to good use. Compared to Grand Theft Auto in many regards, Saints Row offers the similar ability to use multiple means to execute tasks or just have fun causing chaos in the city. Saints Row follows the 3rd Street Gang and its attempt to fight off rival gangs.

According to THQ, Saints Row will feature online and multiplayer capabilities that will allow gamers to play in co-op mode with friends or a 12-player shoot 'em all mode of multiplayer mayhem.

Also coming to the Playstation 3 will be WipEout, developed by Sony in Liverpool. Early claims are that the game will feature the use of the SIXAXIS controller and also offer online multiplayer as well as downloadable content, according to IGN.
