In '05 F.E.A.R. entered the scene on the PC winning many awards, including PC Shooter of the year. Then in 2006, Sierra released F.E.A.R. for the 360 and again earned respectable awards. Now '07 Sierra and F.E.A.R. is trying to continue the success on the PS3.

Day 1 Studios's PC Shooter of the Year is making its way onto the PS3. F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) takes a clue from the survival horror genre with their first-person scare-the-hell-out-of-you paranormal action thriller. The PS3 version will follow the same great storyline of the PC and the 2006 release on the X360, but will include new levels, weapons and a more explosive online experience.

F.E.A.R. begins with a paramilitary force taking over a multi-billion dollar government compound. Special Forces are sent in to deal with the situation, but they quickly lose contact with officials. After a strange signal that has interrupted all communications, contact ends and the Special Forces are all dead. Enter your character, part of a strike team created to deal with situations no others can. Your objective is simple: get in, neutralize the threat, discover the origin of the signal and contain the crisis before it is too late.

Gamers take on the role of a new F.E.A.R. operative who is sent into discover who or what is behind the strange occurrences at an aerospace facility. As quickly as gamers move through the opening stages, they discover there is a paranormal presence at work. The presence of supernatural specters is usually coincided with gore-fest graphics and spine tingling sound. As players work through the 11 levels of jump out scares and flickering lights they learn the truth of all the phenomena. The PS3 will carry extra levels to the game adding more gore and more fear for gamers.
