one of my roomates plays ps3 all the time online, he plays cod4... from what ive seen and played, its almost exactly the same thing, you choose which mode you want to play, say Hardcore Search and Destroy, it will match you up with a bunch of people and throw you in a game. It's free and you can use your bluetooth for your mic
other uses... bluray, hard drive... one of my friends streams crap from his computer to his hdtv through ps3 all the time, but that can be done on 360 too.
i like it, but i personally hate the controller for playstation when playing shooters. i like it for sports, driving, fighting, etc. honestly if youre not looking to play too much shooters, i would say playstations right up your alley orph

online is the same as XBL pretty much. the store is better than XBLA (the layout/design, not content). i got my PS3 for BlazBlu, KoFXII, MGS4 and SF4. i use it for bluray but i only really rent movies because it's not worth it $25 for a movie imo. DualShock3 is a MUST btw, sixaxis is terrible. recently i've only been using my PS3 for Siren, MK vs. DC and GH:WT. also there's plenty of really good games on PSN, i.e. Super Stardust HD, PixelJunk series, Siren, GT5: prologue, Biohazard 2, Tekken 5:DR, The Last Guy and Super Street Fighter 2 TURBOOOOOO HD REMIX next week. i would suggest PStrip if you're a fan of fighting games because BLAZBLU is going to be rapefest.

Part of the reason games look the same for the PS3 and the 360 is because they are developed on the 360 and ported over a lot of the times. It is easier to develop for the 360 thus cheaper. Its a solid business decision to do this. If more games were developed on the ps3 I think there would be a difference.
I love my ps3. I want a 360 eventually, but I am completely satisfied with my ps3 and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
I have the full backwards compatibility (60 gig) so I am still finishing up my backlog of old RPGS as well.

You don't have to buy the PS3 immediately. Back when I only had the N64, I bought some PS1 games and played them when I went to my friends house and I eventually bought one when it was super cheap.

I heard something about a 160 gig bundle for 499 and it comes with Uncharted which is supposed to be a great game. I havent played it so I cant weigh in on that.
I dont know if 100 bucks is worth double the space and a game, seeing as you can buy a 320 gig hd for your ps3 for that price. Upgrading the HD is easy, it took me 10 minutes to do mine (that includes finding a screwdriver)
That is the only game bundle out right that I know of (and I am not sure if that is even out yet).

If u got the money. Buy 1. great system, i fine the pad better for everything but FPS. And some games support mouse + keyboard. online is fine not as good as xbox live, But it does. And the 1st party games sony are making look great ( killzone 2 wow, and infamous) and lbp is great fun so is r2 and motorstrom 2 is just awesome. And theres some nice downloadable games on psn as well.

#40 is correct. 360 is $300 and if you need wireless or an HD movie format it comes out to the same price as a PS3. both are great though depending on what type of console games you like.
