MGO help

I have my konami ID and a internet connection but when trying to get Metal Gear Online to play from the MGS4 main menu, it returns me to the PS3 main menu screen. I have no idea why it does this or how to fix it, nor can I find on faithful google. :[

Maybe your disk is scratched? I don't have any problems.
