probably picking up a PS3 within the next month or so to play MGS4, maybe check out a few other games, but mainly to have a blu-ray player in the living room :-D
Actually it hasn't. In fact even today MTV's gaming blog noted how Konami is asking reviewers to not comment on those same long cut scenes, and the games install requirement on the PS3.
#14 don't read reviews, if you like Metal gear you will LOVE this game. If you are basing your purchase off of reviews for this kind of game... then you haven't played the series.
with MGS games, i feel u cant base ur purchase of reviews. theres just something about the mgs that cant be summed up in a review!!! ya got to play to understand!!!!
http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_i.. "Trouble is, the claim isn't accurate. Will MSG4 have lengthy cutscenes? Yes, says GamePro's own Sid Shuman, but nowhere near 90 minutes.
"I've completed the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming [GamePro] review," Shuman said. "Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes.""
unfortunately, the game doesn't have 90 min-lengthy cutscenes. I personally enjoy mgs cutscenes regardless of their length.

Preparing for MGS4
Im ready to say my goodbyes and give thanks, to Snake and possibly to Kojima.
Secrets will be revealed. Holes will be filled. But most importantly, there will be closure.
Comfortably awaiting the end,
Feenee
Sounds like you'll be doing something else the night you get MGS4.
