There are quite a bit of terrible to average games on that wiki list that many here likely wont even bother with and a great number of the titles in question are also on the 360.
I prefer a list that only lists the strong PS3 titles.
The IGN list isn't really any better then again it isn't meant to be a list of the best PS3 titles only.
I'm looking forward to some ps3 titles on that list, but by no means is it comparable to what the 360 lineup is this year.
The only games on the IGN 2007 list remotely worth paying attention to or could give the PS3 what it needs are. I know some of these wont help the PS3 much, but I'll list them anyway.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Awesome game, but a remake of a game already released twice) The Darkness (Looking great, but also on 360) Lair (I put this cause a lot of people seem excited about it) Heavenly Sword (Looking incredible potential killer app - what the ps3 needs)) John Woo's Stranglehold (Looking good, but also on 360) Madden NFL 08 (This will be big, but also on 360) Assassin's Creed (Looking incredible potential Killer App, but also on 360) Burnout 5 (Great game, but also on 360) Spiderman 3 (Good game, but also on 360) super rub a dub Dark Sektor (Game with potential, but also on 360) Fifa Soccer 08 (incredible can't wait, but also on 360) Home (Home isn't a game, but it's going to be huge for the PS3) Super Puzzle fighter HD (Awesome game also coming to the 360 and not what PS3 or 360 needs) Calling all cars (only cause it's jaffe, but not the type of game the ps3 needs) Warhawk (Not particularly excited about this, but it deserves to be listed) Little Big Planet (Very very impressed with this one - what the ps3 needs) Devil May Cry 4 (Big game, but also on 360) GTA4 (Juggernaut, but also on 360) Brothers in Arms 3 (Potentially great game, but also on 360) Singstar (European killer app) Guitar Hero III (Incredible game, but also on 360) Mercenaries 2 (Great game, but also on 360) Metal Gear Solid 4 (Killer App - what the ps3 needs) Ratchet and Clank (Big anticipated ps3 title - what the ps3 needs) Time Crisis 4 (Excited about this) Uncharted Drakes Fortune (Potential Killer App - what the ps3 needs) Halfe Life 2 (should be big, but also on 360) Wardevil (Need to see more of this game, but it could be big) Killzone (Has a lot to prove after first game) NBA 2K8 (Going to be awesome, but also on 360)
The problem with this 2007 lineup is some of them I know wont make a big enough splash for the ps3 aside from the big guns, but I listed them anyway for the hell of it. The other problem is quite a number of them are also on the 360 and when I need to dig into multiplatform titles to list games it isn't really good. Not that the multiplatform games will suck or wont help the ps3, but in terms of big exclusives this year along with all the good to incredible multiplatform games the 360 has the clear advantage with many more big surefire hits/killer apps this year. The PS3 list just needs more exclusive titles that can define that platform and there aren't as many for the PS3 this year as there are for the 360. Which is why I wouldn't call the lineups equal.
Project Offset wasn't exactly announced for the PS3 (last I checked on the site they are looking for 360 programmers.)
The ps3 has some great games this year of course it wont be starved for good games, but quite a number of the 360's big exclusives are showing up this year which is why I think the 360 has a leg up in terms of game lineup.
White Knight Story, God War 3, FF13, FF versus 13, Gran Turismo 5, Kingdom Hearts 3, whatever the shadow of the colossus devs are working on and quite a number of other big titles wont be showing up this year for the PS3.
In terms of games I think are just going to be big for the ps3 this year and are exclusive I'm thinking Heavenly Sword, MGS4, Ratchet and Clank. I don't think warhawk will be a terrible game, but I don't expect it to be a big deal either. Lair I'm not convinced by that yet, but I'll take a wait and see approach. Killzone I'm not sure about yet, but I hope its good.
There is no suprise about this if you factor in the 360's first year the PS3 is in much better shape. The only major exclusive the 360 really had was Gears of War. I'd count Blue Dragon, but that was only released in Japan. In the ps3's first year out it'll see GTA4, MGS4, DMC4, Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank etc.
