After nearly two years, DPAD will be shifting its focus Today we announce a new direction for DPAD. GotFrag's niche has always been one of competitive gaming and today I proudly announce that DPAD's focus will be shifting in the way of what has made GotFrag the competitive gaming hub. The current format of console news, reviews, previews & features will be shifting to be more focused on competitive content, particularly Madden. Since joining the DPAD staff as Assistant Editor in Chief in the summer of 2006, I have seen the website grow to great levels of popularity and expand into a wide range of areas. One area where we have seen a continued growth has been in competitive content, most recently in Madden NFL. With that growth, Madden will now become a more central focus for the site as competitive gamers search for a home for the popular multi-platform title. As we proudly move on to this new endeavor, I would like to take a moment to thank the many great people who have gotten DPAD to where it stands today as well as the many who will continue to drive the site to new levels of popularity in the future. Let me start by thanking those who have made a significant contribution to DPAD's past and are responsible for getting us to where we are today! Mike Antebi was the Editor in Chief of DPAD since its inception in 2006 and has been one of the driving forces behind the site. Robert Rodriguez was originally our resident forum king before becoming a news writer and eventually the Managing Editor. Thomas Lam was the long time Lead Editor for DPAD and also provided coverage. Joel Williams served as Head Artist for an extended period of time and helped to keep the site looking great. At this time, we'll also be welcoming back some old faces that are returning to us after some time away, and a few new faces to the GotFrag community. Jayson Bussa, David Light, Travis Cosby, Michael Murray, Jon Yacker, Nathan Merrill, Chuck Schoene, Konstantin Kharlamov, Jonathan Hoskins and many others will be regulars on the new Madden page and other fascets of GotFrag eSports coverage. Now, the question of where we go from here. Over the next few days, you'll start to see graphical and navigational changes to the site. All current DPAD content & forums will remain unchanged. We still expect 360 vs PS3 arguments in the forums and rumor-mill content will find its way onto the site from all directions. However, what will happen will be a more focused effort into Madden and a couple look & feel upgrades & enhancements to reflect the change. Again I would like to thank everyone for their years of service to DPAD and our diligent readers as we continue on a new exciting adventure with GotFrag. The best is yet to come!
