The Rainbow team is back on the strip in Rainbow Six : Vegas 2. This sequel brings back all the goodness of the first game, makes it better and adds a whole new level of player immersion into this team based shooter.
Weapons and gear is determined with a whole new reward system. Every action, every objective, and every victory will earn you a reward. Players will be able to gain experience points by performing actions like killing terrorists or by reaching checkpoints, and as you gain experience you gain new ranks. With each new rank, a new set of gear becomes available to visually enhance your character. There are 11 new weapons in Vegas 2. The new Advance Combat Enhancement Specialization (A.C.E.S) system is implemented to reward players with weapons that complement their play style. Each kill you make will be sorted into three categories: Close Quarters, Assault, and Marksmanship. As you level up these categories, you will be rewarded with a weapon that is appropriate for that category. For example, getting headshots and killing from long range will attain points to Marksmanship, and will unlock a new sniper rifle or assault rifle. In Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, the story will come to its “action packed conclusion.” For those not quite satisfied with the first ending, Vegas 2 will ensure that the ending to the Vegas story is one you’ll never forget. This time around, players will be able to see the older, seedier side of Vegas like back alleys, and strip clubs, along with the glittering, breathtaking side we all know and love. The A.I. in Vegas 2 claims to be much better. Enemy terrorists are now equipped with thermal vision, night vision, and shields, and also promises to be much more challenging forcing players to use new tactics and maneuvers such as leapfrogging. Multiplayer will not be disappointing. There are 11 new smaller maps for intense skirmishes and two new adversarial modes, along with new rewards and a new match making system that'll make it easier to find games. The story was made with co-op in mind. Friends can join in anytime they want in co-op mode with no change to the story and both players will gain experience and A.C.E.S points and get new weapons and gear. Rainbow Six fans rejoice. With the first game winning numerous awards, and being the first Xbox360 game accepted into the M.L.G circuit, Vegas 2 has a lot to measure up to, and I’m happy to say everything that made the first game so great is back, better, and upgraded and everything that’s new looks stellar. |
