It has been every PS3 Rock Band fan to be able to actually experience the full effect of their new purchase and as of February 12th they will get their chance. Harmonix has given the official word that the individual Rock Band peripherals will be available starting with the $80 drums. The guitar will soon follow on April 1st with a $60 price tag.

Now most X360 owners have been using four instruments since Rock Band released last year thanks to GHIII compatibility and now Playstation 3 and PS2 owners will be on the same page.

PS3 players now will be able to complete their bands and all system owners will finally be able to use the other features Rock Band offers, such as “Tug-O-War” and “Score Duel”. Both battle modes only work when battling same peripheral versus same peripheral i.e. mic vs. mic or guitar vs. guitar.
