Chicago, IL - The dust has settled in Gears of War competition and we have new champions in Chicago. Team prOphEcy has taken out vVv Vision in a best of 3 series to become the MLG Chicago Gears of War champions.

Showing some impressive teamwork throughout the tournament, prOphEcy went undefeated over a span of five games against the best of the best Gears of War players. Going undefeated is an amazing feat in this tournament as only one other team has been able to do that, vVv Vision.

The final game consisted of some pendulum action over the maps, as the downfall of vVv Vision came in Mansion losing 0-4 on the map. From here on, prOphEcy was able to constantly hold on to a lead up until the end of Clocktower. With a 3-3 tie, both teams proceeded to draw out the round, leading to another 3-3 round. This round, prOphEcy was able to get the upper hand on vVv Vision as they pushed through the defense shotguns in hand.



Congratulations to prOphEcy as they are the number one team at MLG Chicago! We would also like to give a great thanks to LordJerith, owner of vVv Gaming. With his help, we were able to cover Gears of War in a way that nobody else has been able to by getting in depth with the players of the event.
