Louisville wasn’t the only source of controversy in the eSports World over the weekend. The tournament organizers gave the players two hours to show before they would be disqualified. Right before the two hours deadline Luis Galaz Pacheco and Jorge Alberto Savala arrived at the venue making them eligible to play in the tournament. Still the remaining two players didn’t show up including the Mexican National Champion Isrrael Navidad and fellow teammate Raul Guzman. Emmanuel “MASTER” Rodriguez, the 3rd overall selection at the CGS and USA team member at WCG Pan Am Games, lobbied for the players telling officials he’d rather play everyone and forgave the players for not showing up on time. Speaking with Rodriguez, he explained the players had gone to the beach and forgot what time it was. They apologized to him and Vanessa Arteaga, CGS’s #1 draft pick and another USA team member, according to Rodriguez but WCG officials would not allow them to play. With Ryan “offbeatninja” Ward deciding not to attend, this left the DoA competition with only four members. Pairing off the players based on nationality, they remaining four played in a double elimination bracket. Final Standing 1) Vanessa2) Master3) Jorge Alberto Savala4) Luis Galaz PachecoGrand Finals
