MLG's season opener in Charlotte, North Carolina has already brought many roster changes. Heading into the second tournament in Meadowlands, NJ, new teams will be tested with their new rosters and new players will attempt to earn their keep. Possibly one of the most influential team changes is Mason "Neighbor" Cobb, formerly of FBI Icon, who was picked up by the #5 team Str8 Rippin, lead by the well known Tsquared and Foulacy. Bigtimer was added to the team as well, creating a high hopes team that by many is expected to move up in rank by the end of Meadowlands. Then again some may disagree, I chatted with Mason "Neighbor" Cobb about the change, and heard his side.

"Well I really think we have a great shot for top 4. A lot of people dont think we will do as well because they (Str8 Rippin) took 5th at the opener with Naded and Legit, but people dont realize the only two teams they lost to are FB (#1 team) and Carbon (#2 team). Getting on this team means a lot to me I'm definetly not taking it lightly, I'm individually practicing hard, and my team is practicing hard, so I think we can def. take top 4 at Meadowlands. Anything worse would be a huge dissapointment," said Cobb.

Str8 Rippin isn't neccessarily expecting a first place finish right out of the gate, but they realize it would definately be a blessing. Str8 Rippin used to be the second place team at about every tournament and they hope to be back in the some position or at better.

"I honestly don't know how many tournaments it would take to get back into the top 2. Meadowlands will definetly shock people on how well Bigtimer and I work with Pete and Tom. Another thing we have on our side is that a lot of people and teams see us as the under dogs now. But I guarentee we will come prepared and not let the Str8 fans down. Our goal is taking third or higher at Meadowlands and the way we have been practicing and gelling I definetly see it happening," said Cobb.

Str8 Rippin seems prepared to place well at Meadowlands and have surely been practicing thoroughly. Though Str8 does recognize that practicing FB and Carbon's strategies is important, they are not forgetting what it takes to get to the top.

"We are mainly practicing the game types against 5k and The Agency," continued Cobb, "We need to make sure we beat these two good teams to get to Carbon and FB".

Str8 Rippin is expecting a big performance with their two new members and a few more tricks brought to the plate because of them. Neighbor assured me that Meadowlands will be exciting to watch, and that their fans will not be let down. Neighbor proposes to "make it rain" at MLG Meadowlands.
