CGS's second qualifier at the Bridge brings a major surprise among a field of hopefuls for a spot in the six fully funded franchises. Dead or Alive 4’s second qualifier of four scheduled for this weekend came to a conclusion with some interesting results. Eminem50lilwayne rode his way through the upper bracket, defeating all comers, including two close matches against Koompbala, 5-3, and DOA5, 5-4. Still neither would end up facing him in the finals as an unlikely face emerged, Rikuto. Rikuto had been blown out in the initial qualifying round by Koompbala, 5-1. Still, he managed to rally, winning the next five games straight, including blowouts against Koompbala in a rematch, 5-2, and DoA5, 5-1. This left a Championship between Rikuto and Eminem50lilwayne. Riding the wave of success Rikuto won the first match 5-4. This forced a second match because Eminem50lilwayne came from the upper bracket without a loss already. Still undeterred Rikuto won the second match and the title, 5-3. Rikuto now is eligible for the National Final which will feature some of the best DoA players in the country.
