Sierra Entertainment Sponsors the Cyberathlete Professional League in the 2007 Four-Continent World Tour. The Cyberathlete Professional League also known as the CPL has been a pioneer and leader in pro-video gaming to date. Today the CPL set another milestone with their new partnership with Sierra Entertainment as the head line sponsor of the 2007 CPL World Tour. The tour will start in Verona, Italy on May 11-13, 2007. The 2007 CPL – Sierra Entertainment World Tour will span eight months and boasting a total purse of $500K. The tour includes tournaments in Italy, Sweden, the U.S., Australia and Brazil. The final event, to be held in New York City, will host a Grand Prize of $300K. Sierra Entertainment will feature their multi-million unit seller, F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault Recon). Most gamers will recognize F.E.A.R. as it won back to back Game of the Year awards, first on the PC then Xbox360. The Tour will host F.E.A.R. on the Xbox360 multiplayer edition. CPL and Sierra will also be bringing their new and highly anticipated World in Conflict to the tour. World of Conflict is the next-generation of strategy games. WiC will be boasting a completely destructible battlefield, high tension team-based multiplayer action that all focuses on fast, high action battles. The realistic Cold War title will only be played at the CPL on PC’s.
