2K and High Voltage will be joining Seth McFarlane in bringing the dysfunctional Griffin family to your favorite console. Now you can control the diabolical Stewie, the Martini drinking Brian and the over weight but still likeable Peter. All these characters will be voiced by Seth McFarlane as well as most of the original cast will be bringing their talents to the game, so not only will Seth be voicing his characters, you will have Adam West, Mila Kunis and Alex Borstein.

Gamers will find themselves switching from each character throughout the game. As Peter, you will be fighting your way through the game, mostly beating up small kids and the elderly. As the result of a head injury, Peter believes Mr. Belvedere is out to take over the world and it is his task to stop him. Stewie will be using a wide array of gadgets to accomplish his puzzle-solving challenges, while beating his brother in a race to take over the world. The best of his arsenal will be his mind control helmet allowing him to bend any character to his will, including death. My favorite character, Brian will be working through the game in stealth mode, think Sam Fisher in a collar. Brian is accused of impregnating the prize winning dog Seabreeze, and has to escape jail and gather evidence of his innocence.
Family Guy is looking to bring its same brand of humor and satire to the game. Instead of sitting on your couch or favorite chair watching a 30 minute episode, you will be playing the equivalent of an almost 20 HOUR episode. McFarlane is also looking to bring all the lines and gags he never could on TV due to censorship, but now you will control all the humor, jokes and sarcasm you always wished the Griffins would say. Expect to see Quahog and interact with all the characters from the show, as you play through random challenges that have no reason to the game.
The die hard fans of Family Guy have mixed emotions about hearing 2K making a game based on the show. Will they have to swallow another disaster like the Simpson fans, or will it make them proud to call themselves Family Guy-ians. They will if they get anything like the success of 2K’s Leisure Suite Larry. Only time will tell, and in October we look forward to answering these and many more questions with the full review.
