The World Series of Video Games partners with Ubisoft to host a new area of each US event called ClancyCon.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six are three of the most highly acclaimed FPS series. Each of the series has a history of being played in online competitions but one thing was missing, LAN events. The WSVG has partnered with Ubisoft to launch ClancyCon. ClancyCon will hold up to $50,000 in prizes and two on two competitions for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, throughout all of the WSVG US events.
There will be 200 seats for the bring your own computer/Xbox and PC competitors at each event. Along with the tournaments, players will be given insight regarding the newer Tom Clancy games from Ubisoft.
The WSVG will kick off on June 15, 2006 with the first stop, LANWAR, in Louisville, Kentucky.
