It's Here! CyberLANd's first ever Guitar Hero tournament.
WCYY and CyberLANd present the Guitar hero back to school Rock-off on Saturday, September 8th at 12 noon. The winner will receive $200 dollars cash, and the title "Maine's best guitar hero"!
This event is also sponsored by Red Octane and there will be prizes for the runners up as well as the grand prize.
Rules are as follows: Qualifying round Monday, Sept 3rd through Thursday, Sept 6th
1: Qualifying songs will be played the week before the tournament during regular store hours starting Monday and going through Thursday 2: Cost of entry is $1 to play a qualifier song and $10 for Tournament entry 3: 1 song will be played for the qualifier on expert (song will be decided by management and will be the same song for everyone) The top 32 scores will make tournament 4: Only the top 32 players from the qualifiers will be able to play in the tournament on Saturday. Players will be notified on Friday whether they are in the tournament. 5: 5 runners up will be notified as backups in case there are no shows for the tournament on Saturday 6: In case of ties we will use percentage of notes hit, then note streak as tie breaker 7: All qualifier songs will be observed by a staff member and there will be no do-overs (first try is the one we take so make it count.)
Tournament Sat Sept 8th
7: Finals are on Saturday Sept 8th starting at noon, please get here at 11 to sign in and register before we start at 12 8: Tournament will run a bracket face off in pro face off mode and is single elimination 9: Songs will be decided by Management before tournament. Set list WILL NOT be made available, practice all your songs 10: winner is the player with the higher score 11: you are welcome to bring your own guitars but they must be stock guitars that work with Xbox 360 and be unmodified in any way that would give you an advantage. 12: guitars will be provided at tournament if you do not have one or if management disallows use of your personnel guitar. 13: Management has final say in whether a guitar is appropriate for this tournament 14: prize purse will be 100% of money collected from entry fees
