My favorite is the post-game mouths. After the game is over and they have pulled out the win, they will say whatever it takes to hurt your spirits. Even if they take a loss, they act as sore losers and don't credit you for a well earned victory. The only time they will give you the benefit of the doubt is when you start beating them on a consistent basis. That usually quiets a lot of trash talkers though. Not much pressure is put on them until after they win. Pressure to win again that is. They don't put much pressure on their future opponents either. If anything it gives them a driving force to work harder to defeat. There are also some ballers who are all around trash talkers. From the moment they walk in the room, they have something positive to say about their game and something negative about yours. They are going to try to get in your head early and stay there. The players who manage to do that have a huge advantage over their opponent. I've seen emotions come into play while going up against some of these guys. That's what make the ultimate trash talkers tick. After a big catch or big defensive stop you are going to hear it. Players like this strive to take you out of your game and embarrass while doing it. They are not for the weak at heart. That about wraps it up. Trash talking is in fact a Madden strategy. And unlike every other strategy in Madden, it doesn't require practice. Anyone can become a trash talker. But just remember the positions it places you and your opponents in. If you plan on doing it, make sure you can back it up. If not, I suggest straying away and just let your skill do the talking for you.
