The most popular article on GotFrag Madden has just gotten bigger as we give not only the top 50 players in the world, but also some comments from top community members. ![]() Top Ten No. 1 Problem Last poll position: No. 1 Quick hit: Sure, maybe he’s not winning every tournament that comes around these days, but still, no player has been winning as consistently as Problem had this past year. Until someone can clearly define themselves as a regular in the big championships, Problem will remain the game’s greatest. No. 2 Big Gene Last poll position: No. 3 Quick hit: Keep in mind, this is a list of the top 50 active members of the community. Gene’s not so active during the “off-season”, but once the Madden Challenge tour rolls around again, he’ll do plenty of things that illustrate why he sits at No. 2. No. 3 Secret Last poll position: No. 2 Quick hit: Coming off his best season two years ago, Secret’s stock has dipped slightly, but again, he was so consistently successful in the past that it’s going to take a lot to replace this household name on the list. Secret, unlike Gene, is putting in an effort to make it to some of the other bigger tournaments outside of the Madden Challenge. He’s been solid at most of them, but hasn’t won them. Then again, no big name has. No. 4 Young Nephew Last poll position: No. 5 Quick hit: Young Nephew made a name for himself on the Madden Challenge and is bumping his reputation up by using the Player’s Bowl. With no titles to his name this year, players recognize Neph as a force to reckon with; easily one of the top-performing big names since the Player’s Bowl. No. 5 Chow Last poll position: No. 4 Quick hit: Many think Chow has gone in to hiding after a long run in to this year’s Madden Challenge. He’s the caliber of player where he can pick and choose his tournaments without fear of criticism. Chow has achieved just about everything you can in his Madden career and he’s not even done yet. No. 6 Houseshoe Last poll position: No. 7 Quick hit: This is a competitor some thought would disappear as Xbox 360 Madden started to slowly shove Playstation 2 out of the picture. That wasn’t the case. What the case was is that Houseshoe just became a dangerous, multi-dimensional player that can stay competitive in Xbox 360 and Playstation2 tournaments. More money for him! No. 7 Truth Last poll position: No. 16 Quick hit: Oh, how far a year can take us. From a loud-mouthed nobody making a lot of promises for the season to an improved veteran, Truth has lived up to all the hype (the hype he put on himself, at least). He backed up a trip to the Madden Challenge finals with two very solid performances at The Player’s Bowl. Plus, now he’s rolling with a crew (The Corporation). Things are only looking up for this gamer. No. 8 Prodigy Last poll position: No. 6 Quick hit: We saw a fair share of Prodigy’s face this year, and now, not so much. He laid some solid ground work for his career in the upcoming season with a trip to the Madden Challenge finals and making an appearance on the Madden Nation. He’s up there with the game’s elite and now he has to work on staying there. No. 9 KornStar Last poll position: No. 8 Quick hit: KornStar can’t stay too comfortable in his position at the moment. He had a strong performance this year on the Madden Challenge, but a follow-up performance is going to be pertinent for positioning in the rankings. Anything much less than what he did this year, and he might find himself slipping a few rungs on the ladder. No. 10 Jet Steele Last poll position: No. 9 Quick hit: Alongside of his friend, Secret, Jet became a talented and entertaining personality in the community this season with appearances in the Madden Challenge finals and the Madden Nation, both of where he had solid performances. He’s apart of that incoming class (with guys like KornStar) that is slowing trying to start a new era of Madden gaming. |
