Spankeee shines a light on a whole lot of trash talking.
Well, I’m getting ready to wrap things up here in Los Angeles for GotFrag.com and wanted to give you guys one last thing to read. I can’t say I was surprised that Problem won the championship, after all, the folks here at GotFrag.com did rank him at No. 1 for a reason. I was just sad to see that my bold Evil Ken prediction came up short. I’m also glad that we can discuss the results after that early snag that we ran in to with the legality of posting results. EA Sports was very easy to work with, and we hope that we did our part by reporting the scores and results while leaving just enough out to push you to watch the show when it airs on ESPN. It will be well worth watching. So many crazy things happened during the competition, it’s very entertaining.
Once I told them I was with GotFrag.com, they rolled out the red carpet

Make sure to keep your browser here at GotFrag.com as well. When I get home, I’ll be posting some in-depth interviews with runner-up Justin Chow and final four finisher, Jet Steele. And of course, Problem will be weighing in on his latest Madden feat. Does this mean that Problem is the new Big Gene? Meh, I guess we’ll see if he has the staying power next year.

Man, my ears are ringing after two solid days of watching Madden, but most of all, two solid days of trash talking. This game definitely brings out a lot of personality in people. I thought it would be fun to list the top five trash talkers at this year’s Madden Challenge. So here they are, in no particular order: the top mouths of the Madden Challenge finals.

Big Gene
Gene didn’t have a whole lot to say before his match, or directly after it, but he came alive on day two and was giving anyone and everyone a tounge lashing. Midway through the day, his voice was hoarse from all the screaming. He was putting gamers in their place, and of course, he has the experience and accomplishment to back it up. It was nice to hear the big champ weigh in on everything that was happening at the tournament.

40 Gs
40 was easily the most vocal on the first day, and his talking eventually led to his destruction in the second round against Secret. He offered some pretty hilarious quips as he sat out with his first round bye.

One9
One9 didn’t show up to the challenge until the second day for a good reason: he wasn’t competing in the Challenge. He did, however, mosey on in to Universal Studios for the final leg of the tournament and he made his presence known. He was a strong supporter of Secret and had many funny things to say. He didn’t bat an eye when people asked him why he was sitting in the stands rather than playing. You’ll be able to catch One9 on the final cuts of the show as he was everywhere, talking the entire time.

Secret
He was loud, but that was nothing new. This year, Secret showed off a whole new arsenal of dance moves. Secret was always dancing, and many times it involved thrusting his pelvis which made producers call in to question if some of the things he did and said were appropriate for television. He was loud and abrasive…it was classic Secret.

Jet Steele
His mouth wasn’t running all tournament long, but he did utter the best line of the tournament when he started to pull away from Sirus the Virus in a second round match. Jet turned to the audience and said “Someone call donkey, because Shrek is in trouble!”. Ouch, Sirus. Sticks and stones…

I’ve got an early flight to catch. See all you Madden gamers out at the Mega Bowl.
