Big name doesn't win a regional championship; still makes it to the Madden Challenge finals. Just when everyone thought another big name in the Madden community was a bust this year, Billy “The Secret” Wolf reserved his less-than-rightful spot in the Madden Challenge finals Dec. 12-14 in Los Angeles. He took a rather unconventional route to get there. Secret earned his spot in the finals after the Pittsburgh regional champion, Brusk, became unavailable to make the trip out west to compete. Secret was the runner-up at the Pittsburgh qualifier, therefore deeming him the next eligible player to be sent to the finals. Even though Secret, who became a contributing member of TheMaddenLab.com this year, hasn’t won a regional championship, he has still made headlines in the community for creating a stir. He was banned from the Tampa Bay regional qualifier after a tussle with tournament organizers at the Atlanta regional qualifier. Jet Steel ended up taking the championship in Tampa, which is Secret’s home town. Secret was last year's Madden Challenge runner-up and winner of ESPN's Madden Nation season two. More on this story and full preview material of the upcoming finals will be available here at GotFrag.com in the coming weeks. |
